Sensory observations for everyday routines

Notice.
Understand.
Be there.

One simple sensory game each day — and small observations that gradually build a better understanding of your child.

The adult reads — the child plays away from the screen.

Care begins not with a ready-made answer, but with attention.

A familiar moment?

Sometimes behaviour is a need your child cannot name yet.

01

Getting dressed

When every seam, movement, or next step suddenly feels like too much.

02

Leaving home

When moving from play to shoes is harder than expected.

03

After preschool

When accumulated noise, people, and tiredness spill out at home.

04

Before sleep

When the body is still looking for movement, pressure, or a predictable rhythm.

Proprio Calm does not judge your child. It helps an adult try one safe thing and notice the response.

One idea now — more understanding over time

Three small steps that fit a real day.

Today’s activity screen in Proprio Calm
  1. 1

    Receive one fitting idea

A short activity is linked to a natural part of the day: before getting dressed, on the way home, or before sleep.

  2. 2

    Offer it as a game

Read a simple story and safety cue, put the phone away, and leave room for your child to say no.

  3. 3

    Save what you noticed

Take a few seconds to respond. Observations are stored only on your phone and are never sent to a server.

Activity example · 3 minutes

Bear delivery

A short pillow-pushing game to offer before getting dressed.

“The bears are making their den cosy, but the pillows are in another room. Will you help bring them home?”
Why

Muscle work and pressure may help the body get organised before the next part of the day.

What to notice

Did your child join in? Did their pace change? Did the next step feel easier?

Do not insist. If your child refuses or seems uncomfortable, stop.

Our approach

Not fixing behaviour. Learning to see your child.

Co-regulation first

In a hard moment, safety, less noise, fewer words, and a familiar adult come first.

Curiosity, not diagnosis

One observation does not define a child. We look for recurring clues without labels.

Small steps in familiar routines

Not a separate hour-long programme, but a short game you can actually try in an ordinary day.

Consent and safety

Your child can say no. Each activity has simple safety guidance and a clear reason to stop.

Small observations become useful language

You don’t have to remember everything.

Over time, Proprio Calm gently shows recurring clues from data that stays only on your phone.

Still exploring

Fast movement brings mixed responses

More observations are needed

A recurring clue

Unexpected noise often appears in hard moments

Noticed 4 times

A clear summary can start a conversation with a partner, teacher, or occupational therapist — only if you choose to share it.

What we promise

A quiet tool for adults. Not another screen for children.

01One manageable action instead of a long list of advice.

02Language without shame, judgement, or “bad behaviour.”

03Observations, not a ready-made sensory profile.

04Less time in the app — more connection in real life.

Important. Proprio Calm is an educational observation tool. It does not diagnose, replace a paediatrician, psychologist, or occupational therapist, or guarantee prevention of hard moments.
